Beautifully designed village square in the municipality of Donsieders, which is used for almost all local festivals.
The historic center of Donsieders includes the mayor's office and the beautifully designed village square with bus stop (time tables under the websites VRN or Suedwestpfalz-Nahverkehr) a seating area with a drinking fountaina, a fountain, several sculptures and the carillon. This carillon, as well as the numerous bronze statues throughout the village and the striking sandstone monolith, which can be reached via Höhegasse, were donated by the late pastor Alfons Wilhelm, who lived and worked in the community for a long time. The village square is located at the corner of Hauptstraße and Burgalber Straße and is the starting point and destination of the Gräfenstein region's panoramic and pilgrimage trails. Free parking is available. There is also a bakery and a butcher’s shop nearby, and not far away – at Wiesenstraße 33 – you’ll find the “Dorfstübchen”, a place to stop for a bite to eat.
