Forster Schlössel
The Forster Schlössel is the former estate of the Freiherren Wambolt von Umstadt and has been owned by the Werlé family since the early 19th century. The property consists of two gable-fronted residential buildings. To the north lies the so-called "Alte Schlössel" (Weinstr. 84), a representative Renaissance building from the late 16th century or early 17th century. It has a high basement floor, while the living floor above is equipped with large rectangular windows. The windows originally had central posts, but these, along with a central bay, have disappeared during a renovation. On the courtyard side, there is a round stair tower that was raised in the 18th century.
The second residential building was likely constructed in the late 18th century and resembles the older structure. The late Baroque style is evident in the division with corner quoins in the basement and the edge design in the living floor.
The complex with the two stately residential houses is one of the most significant properties in Forst in terms of size and architectural features. The older section embodies, as a one-winged building with a stair tower, despite Baroque changes, the typical rural noble estate.
