The town hall is one of the central buildings in Delitzsch's old town and is located directly on the market square - the historical center of town life. For centuries, it not only served as the seat of the administration, but also as a place for trade, meetings and important decisions by the townspeople.

The town hall at Markt 3 tells pure history! A two-storey town hall was built on the foundations of three old houses between 1376 and 1474 and still dominates the townscape today. Over the course of time, it was extended, served as a bread bank and housed a district court. The town hall is therefore not only a beautiful building, but also a testimony to the town's long history.
