Diesen volkstümlichen Namen verdankt das am oberen Rand des Marktplatzes gelegene Tor seiner früher ständig nachgehenden, „bruselnden“ Uhr.

Das Tor befindet sich auf dem äußeren Vorburggraben und ist somit Bestandteil der ehemaligen Bewehrung der Cadolzburg. Früher befand sich hier noch eine Zugbrücke. 1475 erbaut, diente der Turm damals dem Torwärter, später dem Nachtwächter als Wohnung.
