The hydroelectric power station, equipped with 4 bulb groups (horizontal), produces an average of 650 million kWh of renewable energy each year without greenhouse gas emissions.
The small hydroelectric power plant associated with the fish ladder commissioned in 2006 produces an additional 3 million kWh per year.
Since the commissioning of the Iffezheim fish ladders in 2000 and Gambsheim in 2006, highly migratory fish (salmon, sea trout...) have been able to pass through the hydroelectric facilities to return to their birthplace, and/or introduction and reproduction sites in the tributaries coming from the Vosges and the Northern Black Forest.
