Cendere Bridge is a frequently visited historical bridge in Adıyaman. The bridge is also called Roman Bridge or Septimius Severus Bridge. It is located on the Cendere Stream.
Cendere Bridge reflects the architectural features of Ancient Rome. It is known to be approximately 8 meters wide, 120 meters long and 30 meters high. Smooth cut stones were used in the construction of the bridge. There is a column on both sides of the entrance on the south side of the bridge. Another column is located to the north of the bridge. It is understood from the inscriptions that one of the columns in the south of the bridge was erected for Septimius Severus who built the bridge, the other for his wife Julia Domna and the third column in the north for their son Caracalla.
