It remains for us to look at the landscape and to imagine what the abbey looked like in the 12th century. It was destroyed in the 16th century during the Peasants' War and rebuilt in the 18th century.
The chapel of the 14 Holy Intercessors, located next door in the Baumgarten, dates from 1530. The Trappistine sisters of Ergersheim are now settled there.
It is also a lodging for pilgrims.
