Der schlanke Pulver- und Mantelturm stammt aus dem 13. bis 15. Jahrhundert und steht an der Nordweststrecke der historischen Stadtbefestigung. Er wurde vor den Wehrgang der Stadtmauer gesetzt. Während der Sommermonate ist die Uhrenkammer im Innern der Turmspitze, mit weitem Blick ins Neckartal und auf die Dächer der Altstadt, zu besichtigen.
