Bernardswiller has a population of 1465 and is located on the wine route and at the foot of Mont Sainte Odile. The village was first mentioned in 1276. Its narrow, peaceful streets and beautiful courtyards tell visitors of a history that has always been linked to vineyards and stone. Numerous relics of bygone days remain: porte cochères decorated with emblems of trades that have often disappeared, finely sculpted wells... Today, 180 hectares of vines are planted, and the village's wines are renowned for their low rainfall and privileged exposure to the sun.
