Einer der spannendsten Abschnitte des Meraner Höhenwegs
Die Schlucht der 1.000 Stufen verläuft zwischen den Höfen Unterstell und Giggelberg, die per Seilbahn zu erreichen sind. Über 987 Stufen aus Stein und Eisen steigt man auf der einen Seite in den beeindruckenden Lahnbachgraben und verlässt ihn auf der anderen Seite.
Über eine 2017 errichtete Hängebrücke kann man sich ein paar Stufen sparen – bei einem beeindruckenden Ausblick.
