La Valle di Sciro è un altopiano carsico di grande interesse geologico, ai piedi del Monte Ruazzo, all'interno del Parco dei Monti Aurunci. La presenza delle sue caratteristiche doline, la rende una valle molto suggestiva, dal tipico paesaggio lunare.

La Vale di Sciro si trova ai piedi del Monte Ruazzo e Monte Tuonaco. Ricca di doline carsiche, formatesi per le caratteristiche carsiche del territorio, che in questo luogo manifesta la sua massima espressione. L'acqua penetra nel terreno, generando grandi depressioni carsiche, che sembrano quasi crateri lunari, difatti qualcunbo chiama la Valle di Sciro la "Valle della Luna".

Si raggiunge percorrendo il sentiero Manuela, dal Rifugio Acquaviva, oppure proseguendo in discesa dopo aver raggiunto la cima del Monte Ruazzo

Directions

Seguire il percorso per Monte Ruazzo e proseguire in discesa verso la valle. In alternativa dal Rifugio Acquaviva prendere il sentiero Manuela

Parking

C'è un ampio parcheggio a 400 metri di distanza dal Rifugio Acquaviva oppure è possibile proseguire sulla strada sterrata e parcheggiare nell'area adiacente il rifugio facendo attenzione a non intralciare la stradina sterrata che conduce ad un azienda poco più avanti.
