Man kann hier stark zertrümmerte und zum Teil geschmolzene Gesteinsreste in einer sogenannten Breccie als Überreste des Meteoriteneinschlags im Ries vor 14,5 Millionen Jahren finden. Beim genaueren Betrachten des Gesteins fallen in einer grauen Grundmasse helle Einsprenglinge sowie dunkle poröse Gläser direkt ins Auge.

Der Suevitsteinbruch wird vor Ort durch eine Informationstafel erläutert.
