Das Bürgl war ein Steinbruch mit besonderen geologischen Funden. Man fand dort Tausende versteinerte Austern, die heute noch deutlich an den Felswänden zu erkennen sind. Zu späterer Zeit wurde aus dem Steinbruch ein Schießstand der Altenbeurer Schützen.
Heute ist diese bedeutende Naturkulisse Ort von Theateraufführungen.

Neubeuern, rund 12 km südlich von Rosenheim, ist durch den guten Anschluss an das Autobahnnetz bequem und zügig zu erreichen. Unser Ort liegt nur 4 km von der Bundesautobahn A8 (Anschlussstelle Rohrdorf) und 5 km von der Bundesautobahn A93 (Anschlussstelle Reischenhart) entfernt.
