Pakruojis Manor had many owners, but the von Rops, who ruled Pakruojis Manor from the beginning of the 19th century, were the most prominent. They expanded the estate, planted a large English-style park, and brought with them many works of art. Pakruojis Manor is the largest surviving manor house complex in Lithuania, listed in the Lithuanian Register of Cultural Heritage Objects and in the Lithuanian Book of Records as the largest preserved manor house
