This area clearly exhibits the actual consequences of a landslide, the cause of which we are now familiar with and have seen on a larger scale when descending the Lochweg trail. In 2014, a giant block of rock worked its way loose and came to rest just in front of the house, and a second came to a standstill in front of a high tension mast. Fortunately, no one was injured in this landslide. Such landslides were frequent just after the retreat of the Ice Age glaciers, but today they’re actually quite rare.
