Der Aschestrom befindet sich in der Nähe der Ortschaft Burgbrohl in der Eifel. Er ist ein besonderes Überbleibsel des Laacher See Vulkanausbruchs vor knapp 13.000 Jahren. Damals rasten Glutwolken des Vulkans das Brohltal hinab und füllten es mit vulkanischer Lockermasse auf. Heute kann man erkennen, wo sich die Ascheschichten auf die Felsen des Grundgebirges gelegt haben.
Der Aschestrom stellt die 10. Station auf der Deutschen Vulkanstraße dar.
