Dry stone walls have formatted the slope here to small even parts of land.

Typical terraces of the area. Their goal is to contain the land so it can be easily cultivated. It is also the most effective way to stack the stones removed from the field in order to make the soil more fertile. Finally, they also play a role in delimiting properties.
