Der Garten wurde um das Areal der Otto-Ludwig-Gedänkstätte eingerichtet. Im Zentrum steht das spätklassizistische Gartenhaus, welches einst im Familienbesitz der Ludwigs war. Es wurde 1814 (ein Jahr nach der Geburt von Otto Ludwig) gebaut und beherbergt heute eine Sammlung rund um das Leben des Dichters.

Vor dem Gartenhaus befindet sich ein Denkmal, welches 1934 von Karl Röhrig geschaffen wurde. Es zeigt eine Büste des jungen Otto Ludwig. Die Innschrift auf dem Sockel lautet:

_Jedes Blättchen ist
mir wie ein Bruder_

Das Gartenhaus kann am Pfingstsonntag und Pfingstmontag jeweils von 14.00 bis 16.00 Uhr und am Tag des offenen Denkmals besichtigt werden.
