Teil des Befestigungsgürtels rund um Straßburg

Fort vom Typ Von Biehler, das zum Festungsgürtel von Straßburg gehört und von den Deutschen nach dem Krieg von 1870/71 gebaut wurde. Vor 1914 wurde es mehrmals umgebaut. Nach der Rückkehr des Elsass zu Frankreich wurde es 1936 in die Maginot-Linie integriert und für die Nutzung als Kommandoposten umgebaut.
