Diese Burg befand sich lange Zeit im Besitz der Familie Preston, bis sie im 20. Jahrhundert schließlich in Staatsbesitz überging. Besonders sehenswert ist der sogenannte „Preston's Tower“, ein großteils gut erhaltener Turm und Wohnsitz der Familie Preston. Die Burganlage umfasst neben Braustuben auch ein Gefängnis.Tolquhon Castle liegt ca. 20 km von Aberdeen entfernt.
