Pernštejn is one of the most visited Moravian castles. On the rock above the town of Nedvědice the castle stands almost eight centuries and has never been conquered in its entire history.
When visiting Pernštejn you will easily forget that you are in the 21st century. Inscriptions in the hallways of the castle, in which words like love and life can be discerned, to whom did they belong? A Valorous Knight or an Unfortunate Chamberlain? We probably won't know. The stories of ordinary castle residents will be left under your imagination.
The tour of Pernštejn will take you through the history of the castle and its legends, who knows, maybe you can run into a local white lady. The Pernštejn family belonged to the richest and most influential families in the Czech lands in the 16th century.
The castle can be reached by car or on foot or by bike on marked nature trails, which come from the railway station in Nedvědice.
