Diese ehemalige Festungsanlage wurde zwischen dem 12. und 16. Jahrhundert erbaut und thront auf einer Landzunge südlich der Stadt Stonehaven. Sogar Maria Stuart soll zu ihren zahlreichen Besuchern gezählt haben. Ihre einzigartige Lage direkt an den beeindruckenden Klippen verleiht der Burg eine romantische und zugleich mystische Atmosphäre. Besonders empfehlenswert ist der Anblick der Festung bei Sonnenuntergang.
