Die Burg Egloffstein liegt malerisch auf einer Felsnase über dem Trubachtal unmittelbar westlich des gleichnamigen Ortes Egloffstein in der Fränkischen Schweiz. Seit dem 11. Jahrhundert ist die ehemalige hochmittelalterliche Adelsburg Stammsitz der Freiherrn von und zu Egloffstein. Interessierte Besucher können das Privathaus, das noch aus einer Haupt- und einer Oberburg besteht, gegen Eintritt besichtigen. Einige komfortable Ferienwohnungen ermöglichen zudem exklusive Übernachtungen in historischem Ambiente.
