Das Wahrzeichen Lechenichs, das zwischen 1307 und 1314 erbaut worden ist, beeindruckt durch seine mächtigen Mauern und den großen Schlosspark. Die ehemalige Landesburg war eine der mächtigsten rheinischen Burganlagen. Auch noch als Ruine vermittelt sie den Eindruck ihrer früheren Bedeutung im Erft Raum. Heute befindet sich die Anlage im Privatbesitz des Prinzen und der Prinzessin Reus.
