Known as a leisure park throughout the decades, these woods will always be remembered by their arbutus berry trees, which, among others, provide shelter to moments of peace and social gatherings.

Located between the Cultural Centre, the Secondary School and the Town Swimming Pool, this unique leisure area with stone tables and seats, as well as a children’s park, offers an wide range of options: from walks to leisure and social moments to different cultural events (musical, artistic, literary, …). It is impossible to separate this park from the arbutus berry trees, as some os these endemic trees still remain. We can also find a replica of a traditional house from Erbach, in Germany, as proof of the twinship between the towns of Ansião and Erbach.
