The forest also features a leisure park, near a permanent waterway, alongside a weir built to support the fighting of forest fires.
Picnics can be held here, and there is an available barbecue that can be used outside the high-risk fire season.The Oitava Forest is a habitat for endangered birds and mammals, such as deer and roe deer.
