A Lászlótanya az ország legészakibb pontjához közel található egykori grófi vadászkastély, amelynek szomszédságában magas természetességi állapotú, idős bükköst láthatunk. A határ túloldalán, Szlovákiában már őserdőként számontartott állományok is előfordulnak – Trianon előtt a Lászlótanyával együtt ezek ugyancsak a Károlyi-uradalomhoz tartoztak.
A Tokaji-(Zempléni-)hegység legészakibb sarkában fekvő Lászlótanyát délről és keletről határoló, közel 15 hektárnyi idős, néhol 170 éves fákból álló erdők legnagyobb része állami tulajdonú bükkös, amelyben nincs hagyományos faanyagtermelés. Közvetlenül a határ mellett tölgyeseket és gyepekkel tarkított égereseket találunk – utóbbit vágásos üzemmódban kezelik. Védett természeti területen fekszenek, amely egyben a Natura 2000 hálózat része is.

Az óriási, szürke törzsű bükkök, az embernél magasabb gyökértányérok, egymásra borult törzsek birodalmában az öreg állományt szerkezetileg alig különbözteti meg bármi attól, hogy őserdőnek nevezzük. Néhány korosztály mintha gyengébben képviseltetné magát az állományban, de erről nehéz bizonyosságot szerezni – alighanem csak részletes történeti utánajárás dönthetné el a háborítatlanság mértékének kérdését. Innen lehet áttérni a mélyebb fekvésű égeresbe, amely az Oláh-rétet szegélyezi – ahonnan már csak pár lépés a még ma is fátlan határsáv. A szlovák oldalon található az 1950 óta védettség alatt álló Marocká Hoľa őserdő-rezervátum.

  • A füzéri buszmegállótól a K jelzést követve induljunk észak felé. A református templomnál térjünk balra, és innen haladjunk a K+ jelzésű turistaúton. 4 kilométer után, Bodó-rét szélénél váltsunk vissza (jobbra) a K jelzésre (5,6 km, 350 m szintemelkedés)
  • A Bodó-réten parkolva a K jelzésen induljunk el fölfelé, ez vezet a Lászlótanya melletti Szentélyerdőbe (1,2 km, a  74 m szintemelkedés).
