A 80 km au nord de Paris, la forêt domaniale de Compiègneconstitue la 3ème plus grande forêt de feuillus après celle d’Orléans et celle de Fontainebleau.

Outre son patrimoine bâti (églises, abbatiales ou ruines gallo-romaines...), la forêt domaniale de Compiègne est parsemée d'étangs, de mares et d’arbres remarquables comme le Chêne de Saint-Jean planté sous le règne de Saint-Louis… Un patrimoine naturel exceptionnel à découvrir aussi bien à vélo qu’à pied !
