Offre paesaggi inaspettati avvolti nel verde, tra cenni sparsi di antiche architetture di montagna, come le tipiche malghe usate per la lavorazione del formaggio. Un luogo consigliato agli appassionati dibirdwatching.
Essa ed insieme alla Foresta di Giazza, è l’area boschiva più estesa della Lessinia centrale nel Parco Regionale Naturale della Lessinia ed è compresa tra i comuni di Bosco Chiesanuova ed Erbezzo.
Per la sua straordinaria importanza naturalistica la Foresta è stata classificata come Sito di Interesse Comunitario (SIC) e Zona di Protezione Speciale (ZPS) per l’avifauna.
Vi si possono infatti trovare al suo interno uccelli rari quali l’astore, il picchio nero, il francolino di monte e la civetta capogrosso. La flora è caratterizzata da grandi esemplari di faggio, Abete Bianco e Carpino nero.
