Der steile Hang nach der Einmündung des Baches aus der Val Camutschera in die Aua da Mulins ist mit Legföhrengebüsch bewachsen. Im Legföhrengebüsch fällt die Erika mit ihren rosafarbigen Blüten besonders auf. An etwas schuttigeren Stellen wächst die Silberwurz, und in feuchteren und schattigen Mulden kann man die Bewimperte Alpenrose beobachten.
Die Legföhre (Liegende Bergföhre) wächst vor allem in Lawinenzügen. Sie hat sich durch ihre schmiegsamen Stämmchen dem Schneegleiten, den Schneerutschen und dem Überfahren durch Lawinen gut angepasst (3.5.1/3.2). Erst bei ausbleibenden derartigen Schneeeinwirkungen wächst die Bergföhre als aufrechte Form (Spirke, Aufrechte Bergföhre).
Die Legföhre, wie auch die Aufrechte Bergföhre, vermag sich an schuttigen Stellen, in Geröllhalden und auf sehr trockenen Standorten zu halten, wo sie nicht der Konkurrenz anderer Baumarten ausgesetzt ist. Auf wüchsigeren Standorten wird sie durch die Fichte und die Lärche verdrängt. Dort ist sie lediglich ein Pionier nach flächiger Waldzerstörung durch Sturm, Rutschung, Erosion, Lawinenniedergang oder Waldbrand.
Im Talboden mäandriert der Aua da Mulins und verleiht der Landschaft einen besonderen Reiz. Das U-förmige Hochtal ist durch den Bargisgletscher herausmodelliert worden, welcher sich vor 18-15'000 Jahren allmählich zurückgezogen hat.
