Who wants to be yellow!

Buttercup blossoms typically seen in meadows are yellow. The large white buttercup (ranunculus platanifolius) features leaves similar to the plane tree, making it a non-conformist because it has white flowers. Whilst the other yellow flowering types grow all over the place and especially in meadows, the white flowering variety only grows near water and in high-Alpine environments. Even there, however, they are nowhere near as common as their yellow relatives. The large white buttercup can be found near moist forest edges and so-called mountain-scrub landscapes.
