Wohnhaus der Allersberger Drahtbarone, die 1756 geadelt wurden.

Dem Manufaktur-Ehepaar Jacob und Sybilla Gilardie gelang es im 18. Jahrhunddert, ihre Allersberger Fabrik zu Weltruhm zu führen. Der wirtschaftliche Aufstieg brachte Wohlstand für den ganzen Ort und prägt über 300 Jahre lang dessen Geschichte. Das barocke Gilardi-Haus erinnert bis heute an diese Glanzzeit. Die Ausstellung zeigt mit Original-Exponaten der Stiftung "Firma Gilardi, Familie Geiershoefer/Schulenburg - Markt Allersberg" die Anfänge des leonischen Drahtzuges von 1689 sowie die Christbaumschmuckproduktion der Firma Jacob Gilardi bis 2006. Sie ist ein herausragendes Zeugnis der regionalen Wirtschafts- und Sozialgeschichte.

Auf 200m² interaktiver Fläche im barrierefreien Südflügel des Gilardi - Anwesens lädt ein generationenübergreifends Konzept zum Entdecken ein. Highlight ist der virtuelle Christbaum der mit Originalprodukten geschmückt werden kann - ein echtes Glanzlich!
