Seit 2004 kann im "Guckkastenprinzip" in die Vergangenheit geschaut werden.
Ein Blick in Eilenburgs Vergangenheit ist schwierig, aber nicht unmöglich. Im April 1945 versank die Stadt in Schutt und Asche. Dennoch ist dieses Eilenburg für die Nachwelt nicht gänzlich verloren. Möglich machen dies vierzehn sogenannte Camera Historica in der Stadt. Sie bieten nicht nur einen optischen Eindruck, wie es an der jeweiligen Stelle früher ausgesehen hat, sondern es gibt auch entsprechende Erläuterungen.
