The Brno dam in the immediate vicinity of the Moravian metropolis is a popular place for water sports, recreation and relaxation. It was built in 1936-40.

A total of six ships (Brno, Vienna, Utrecht, Stuttgart, Dallas and Leipzig) cross the level of the Brno reservoir, and all ships are ecological. Almost all docks have summer restaurants and gardens, which invite you to sit back and relax. The beach is lined with a range of playgrounds and sports facilities, and of course boat and pedal boat rentals. The vast forests around the dam are a popular destination for hikers and cyclists, and a 30-kilometer bike trail will take you around the dam.
