The Gothic basilica on the eastern edge of Krakow's main square is considered a landmark of the Polish city.
The Roman Catholic basilica is particularly famous for its high altar made of oak and lime wood. The altar was built between 1477 and 1489 and is considered the largest of its kind in Europe.
One of the two towers of the church can be climbed – from the top you have a beautiful view of the (old) city of Krakow.
Price:
Visits to the basilica outside of service times and access to the tower are only possible for an entrance fee.
