Die Kirche St. Blasius in der idyllischen Fraktion Verschneid wurde erstmals 1325 urkundlich erwähnt, die Erbauung dürfte aber noch weiter zurückreichen. Um 1500 wurde der ursprünglich romanische Bau vergrößert. in diese Zeit fällt die Errichtung des Kirchenturms und des polygonalen Chores. Die Kirche wurde aber 1620 bei einem Brand beschädigt. Bei der fälligen Renovierung wurde ein mit Granat- und Rosettenmustern verziertes Portal aus dem Ansitz Gschnover eingebaut. In die selben Jahre fällt die Errichtung der Kreuzgratgewölbes.
Ab 1986 wurde die Kirche St. Blasius Schritt für Schritt und mit beträchtlichem Aufwand renoviert. Da z. B. auch viele Dachziegel nicht mehr nutzbar waren, wurden zahlreiche Biberschwanzziegel nach alten Vorgaben in Handarbeit gefertigt. Seit 2009 erstrahlt die Kirche St. Blasius nun wieder in neuem Glanz.
