The Protestant parish church in Ramsen is located on the Klosterberg and was built in 1907 as a hall church in various architectural styles. It stands at the northern edge of the site of the former monastery Ramosa (1146-1494).
The church is an east-facing hall church built from red sandstone blocks. The architect Franz Schöberl from Speyer employed a variety of stylistic elements from Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architecture.
It features a pointed, slate-covered, helmet-like tower. This four-story façade tower with volute gables (snail or spiral-shaped rollings) is located on the northwest side of the nave.
The nave has a vestibule with a main portal on the western side and ends with the choir on the eastern side. It has five window axes with tall rounded arch windows. It is topped by a gabled roof. The west façade and the choir's closure are accentuated with large round windows.
The volute gables on the eastern façade are an element from the Renaissance and Baroque periods. With the restrained decorative elements, the architect introduced a typical Baroque feature to the building, while otherwise refraining from further ornamental decorations.
Inside, the church features a wooden beam ceiling divided into five sections by wooden braces. The narrow sides are articulated by blind arcades. Adjacent to the eastern façade is a rib-vaulted, recessed choir with a flat closure and a rectangular floor plan. Above the altar, on the eastern façade of the choir, there is a rosette with stained glass designs created by Johannes Kriebitzsch from Mannheim. On the southern side of the choir, there is a sacristy.
The original interior furnishings from the time of construction include the pulpit and the altar made of red sandstone. An original enclosing wall runs almost entirely around the entire church.
