Baroque church in Dielkirchen
Origin Already in 872 there was a place of worship in Dielkirchen. The current church was built in 1738 and is a characteristic example of a Lutheran village church in the Northern Palatinate. Architecture · Three-sided baroque church nave · Bell tower with three bells Equipment/Art · Tower with handmade cross and gilded rooster · Three bells, one of which comes from the Disibodenberg monastery and is dated to the year 1250; it is the oldest bell in the Palatinate · The organ (1793) by Philipp Christian Schmidt is a special treasure, where the regionally renowned "Dielkirchen organ concerts" are performed. Special Feature A New Testament, a catechism, one jug of red and one jug of white wine, as well as a lead tablet with an inscription were bricked into the cornerstone.
