Der Kirchenfriedhof dürfte schon seit der Gründung der Kirche St. Leonhard im Jahre 1184 angelegt worden sein.
Er besticht durch seine vielen unterschiedlichen Grabgestaltungen: schmiedeeiserne Grabkreuze, Grabsteine und Holzkreuze – sie alle erinnern an die Verstorbenen, die in den Gräbern ruhen.
Darunter auch bekannte Persönlichkeiten wie der Volksmusiksammler Kiem Pauli oder der Kunstmaler Prof. Thomas Baumgartner.
Die Bank auf der Südseite der Kirche lädt zum Verweilen und Nachdenken ein.
