Die baulich weitgehend im 17. und 18. Jahrhundert überformte Saalkirche in Endschütz geht auf eine romanische Kapelle zurück.

Diese Kapelle wurde wohl ausgangs des 13. Jahrhunderts errichtet und war den Mildenfurther Brüdern unterstellt. Das runde Portal am Haupteingang weist noch auf das Alter des Bauwerks hin, das zunächst nur einen Dachreiter gehabt haben dürfte. Der Gotisierung werden die Sakramentsnische in der Nordostwand und die Strebepfeiler zugehören. Vom alten Flügelaltar, der wohl eingangs des 16. Jahrhunderts datiert, haben sich an der Südwand versprengte Figuren erhalten, darunter die Heilige Barbara, der Heilige Sebastian und natürlich die Gottesmutter mit dem Kind.
