Das Fridolinsmünster ist Wahrzeichen der Stadt Bad Säckingen. Es ist dem heiligen Fridolin von Säckingen geweiht, dem Gründer der Stadt und Patron der Landschaft am Hochrhein. An der Außenwand des Chores befindet sich in einer Nische das Grabmal von Franz Werner Kirchhofer, der als „Der Trompeter von Säckingen“ in die Literatur einging.
