Kühmatt, situated at an altitude of 1,633 metres above sea level, is one of the most impressive places of grace in the valley. The baroque Chapel of the Visitation of Our Lady, built by the inhabitants of the valley in 1654/55, is the destination of regional pilgrimages. It has been widely known as a chapel of grace for centuries and is also a popular subject of photography, perfect for moments of dreamy reflection. The chapel was last renovated in 1987. The chapel festival is held annually on 2nd July and the valley pilgrimage from Blatten to Kühmatt takes place on the first Sunday in October.
