The Kartei chapel in Hüttschlag invites visitors to pause and reflect on their journey as they head toward the end of the valley.
The Karteis chapel was built in 1992 by Katharina and Franz Huttegger, farmers from Karteis, and is still maintained by the Huttegger family today. Anyone who reaches the chapel has already covered a large portion of the chapel hiking trail and can look back with a sense of pride.
The chapel is located directly behind the entrance to Karteisdörfl on the left-hand side. Hikers can reach it from the Wolfaukapelle by taking the trail downhill and continuing into the valley. Cyclists and hikers with strollers can simply follow the road to the entrance of Karteisdörfl.
