The Figler chapel in Grossarl was built in 1990, and its statue of the Virgin Mary, “Mother of Grace,” invites visitors to pause and reflect.
The Figler chapel was built in 1990 by Anna and Peter Egger, Figler, and is still maintained by the Egger family today. Above the entrance is the inscription “Mother of Mercy.” Inside stands a statue of the Virgin Mary, from whose hands streams of grace flow. The chapel is thus a quiet place of prayer that evokes mercy, trust, and loving care.
The path to the Figler chapel leads from the Bichl chapel back down to the Ache. There, cross the bridge and the state road, follow the state road a short distance out of the valley, and turn left onto Ebengasse. From there, continue uphill, following the signs for the “Panorama Hiking Trail.” After a long climb, turn right at a small settlement. After about 100 m, the Figler chapel is on the left.
