Colònia Güell – Crypt

The crypt constructed by Antoní Gaudí in Colònia Güell in 1908, an exemplary industrial country, belongs to the most outstanding projects of the architect. He experimented with different architectural solutions which he later used for the construction of Sagrada Família. It is probably his most unique and characteristic building. He was the first person to construct hyperbolic-paraboloides surfaces like for example at the crypt’s door and walls. Colònia Güell is part of the UNESCO world heritage.
