Eine der farbenreichsten Schaugrotten mit Erlebnismuseum.
Ehemalig ein Alaunschieferbergwerk, sind die Feengrotten heute eine der bekanntesten Touristenattraktionen der Region. Seit 1993 stehen sie als „Die farbenreichsten Schaugrotten der Welt“ im Guinness-Buch der Rekorde. Seit ihrer Eröffnung 1914 haben bereits über 18 Millionen Menschen die Saalfelder Feengrotten besucht.
