Propast Macocha je největší propastí tohoto typu ve střední Evropě o hloubce 138,5 metrů.

Propast Macocha je největší propastí tohoto typu ve střední Evropě o hloubce 138,5 metrů. Dno propasti je od roku 1914 nedílnou součástí prohlídky veřejnosti přístupných Punkevních jeskyní v Moravském krasu.

Vlastní propast je volně přístupná. Návštěvníci si ji mohou prohlédnout ze dvou vyhlídkových můstků. Horního - ve výšce 138 metrů nade dnem a Dolního - ve výšce cca 90 metrů nade dnem. Od Dolního můstku vede k Punkevním jeskyním malebná turistická stezka.

U propasti se nachází turistická chata Macocha a v letní sezóně otevřené informační středisko, kde si návštěvníci mohou zakoupit vstupenky do Punkevních jeskyní. Ze Skalního Mlýnu se mohou návštěvníci přepravit eko-vláčkem k Punkevním jeskyním a odtud lanovkou k chatě Macocha.
