Păculea Cave is one of the hidden gems of the Vălișoara Gorges — a spectacular natural reserve located in the Trascău Mountains, Alba County.

Păculea Cave is one of the hidden gems of the Vălișoara Gorges — a spectacular natural reserve located in the Trascău Mountains, Alba County. Carved into the steep limestone cliffs on the right side of the gorge, the cave was once used as a shelter in troubled times and today attracts hikers seeking peace and breathtaking views.

The trail to the cave, marked with a red dot, starts near the Knights' Templar Castle and offers spectacular panoramas of the gorge and surrounding landscape. The route is approximately 4.5 km long and can be completed in 2–3 hours, suitable for hikers with moderate physical fitness.

Nearby, visitors can explore other natural attractions such as Bogza Mare Peak, the rocky formation known as "The Fortress," and various karst formations. The area offers a unique combination of natural beauty, history, and tranquility — a true retreat into the wild heart of Transylvania.
