Die Lamprechtshöhle schreibt Weltrekorde- sie ist einer der längsten Durchgangshöhlen der Welt! Mit ihrer 56 km Gesamtausdehnung gehört die Lamprechtshöhle in St. Martin bei Lofer zu den größten Höhlensystemen Europas. 1993 entdeckten Polnische Höhlenforscher in 2.178 m Höhe einen weiteren Höhlenzugang - die Lamprechtshöhle gilt seit dem als die längste Durchgangshöhle der Welt.

St. Martin bei Lofer liegt im Pinzgauer Saalachtal im Dreiländereck Salzburg, Tirol und Bayern. Vom Osten Österreichs kommend, fährt man über Salzburg und das „kleine deutsche Eck“, Wals, Bad Reichenhall und Unken. Am Kreisverkehr in Lofer in Richtung Saalfelden abbiegen, der Bundesstraße 311 folgen, St. Martin passieren, ca.4 km nach St.Martin auf der rechten Seite befindet sich die Lamprechtshöhle. Autobahn A8 München - Salzburg - Abfahrt Siegsdorf (Traunstein) über die deutsche Alpenstraße, Grenzübergang Steinpass (Tunnel) nach Unken, Lofer, St. Martin und Weißbach. Keine Vignettenpflicht!
