The Kaiser Max Grotto

Ihren Namen verdankt die Kaiser Max-Grotte (und daher auch der Klettersteig) dem ehemaligen Kaiser Maximilian, der sich der Legende nach 1484 bei der Gamsjagd verstiegen haben soll und hier festsaß, bis ihn ein Bauernjunge nach drei Tagen und zwei Nächten aus seiner misslichen Lage befreien konnte. Zum Glück kann das heute nicht mehr passieren, da die Grotte mittlerweile auch für Wanderer über einen gut begehbaren Pfad erreichbar ist. Über diesen gilt es auch abzusteigen, wenn Klettersteiger sich den zweiten Teil des Steigs nicht zutrauen.
